Mustang-Powered Vintage Ford Ranger Is A Bespoke Beauty

This latest Icon Reformer model stays true to its Ford heritage by using a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 from a Mustang producing 426 horsepower. Power is routed through a Ford four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and a twin-stick Advance Adapters Atlas II transfer case, which sends the engine’s grunt to the axles.

Icon has thoroughly revised the Ranger’s underpinnings with a four-link rear suspension system and front radius arms, Eibach coil springs with Fox shocks, Dynatrac ProRock axles, and PSC power steering. The company even designed a new hydro-boosted sport brake system with help from Brembo to provide adequate stopping power now that the truck has 426 hp on tap.
